Permanent eyeliner refers to a cosmetic tattooing procedure in which pigment is implanted into the skin around the eyes to create the appearance of eyeliner. This technique is also known as micro-pigmentation or permanent makeup. During the procedure, a technician uses a handheld device equipped with a needle to deposit pigments into the upper or lower lash line. The goal is to create a defined line that mimics the look of eyeliner. Types of permanent eyeliner include upper lash line; Lower Lash Line and a classic which is a combination of upper and lower lash line. The thickness and style of the eyeliner can be customized according to individual preferences, ranging from a subtle and natural look to a more dramatic appearance. While called "permanent," the color will fade over time.

Factors such as skin type, sun exposure, and lifestyle can affect how long the pigment lasts. Periodic touch-ups may be needed to maintain the desired look.

After the procedure, it's essential to follow proper aftercare instructions provided by the technician. This may include avoiding certain activities, such as swimming or excessive sun exposure, to ensure proper healing.
