Laser Hair Removal

The Soprano XL Super Hair Removal (SHR) only clinically proven method of laser hair removal that is virtually painless, and it is the safest laser hair removal method for all skin types, including dark and tanned skin.

The Soprano XL therapy may consist of multiple treatments given over several months. There may be some discomfort or pain associated with the treatment. There is a small risk of adverse reactions, such as changes in the texture and pigmentation of the skin, which are usually transient.

A Consultation is required before treatment to clearly understand the client’s expectations. Shaving the area 24 hours before is always recommended. Cleaning the skin is a must if there is any makeup, perfume, or sunscreen. The area is always covered with a coat of cold ultrasound gel to protect the skin from heat. Skin Tests will be performed to establish the cutaneous reaction when beginning treatment. Eye protection is mandatory for all personnel in the treatment room. Waxing or Plucking hair in the treatment area should not be done before treatment or during the treatment procedure. All other hair removal methods when the hair root is preserved, e.g. shaving and trimming, are permissible.

Post Treatment Care

Care should be taken to prevent trauma to the treatment area for the first four following the treatment: avoid hot baths, aerobic exercise, massage, etc.

Patients should apply high-factor sun protection and protect the treatment area from exposure to direct sunlight for at least one month post-treatment. Tanning after treatment sessions may enhance melanin, regeneration which may result in hyper-pigmentation.

Makeup may be applied on the day following treatment unless blistering or crusts develop. Since the skin is sensitive during this period, take special care while removing makeup to avoid damage to the skin, which can predispose the site to infection.

Follow-up

The measures presented below are only the manufacturer’s recommendation for follow-up. They may serve as a basis for defining your treatment regimen.

Patients should return for examination of the treatment site between six to eight weeks after the treatment for additional treatment, if necessary.

If no additional treatment is necessary, the patient should return for an additional re-examination three to four months later, or when any new hair has grown in the treatment area.

If there has been partial hair clearance, treatment should be continued and the patient should return between six to eight weeks for examination and additional treatment, if necessary
